What We Believe About I35
Hundreds of years before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah spoke of a holy highway.
"And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein." (Isaiah 35:8)
Many scholars believe this spoke of the path back to Jerusalem for God's people. Other scholars believe that Isaiah was referring to the way to heaven through the Messiah.
Now, fast-forward 2500 years. All we want to see is a move of God in this incredible nation.
Yes, there have been many prophecies over the last several years referring to this scripture text.
What an awesome idea for God to begin moving up and down an Interstate that cuts America in half (from Laredo to Duluth).
We do not believe that Isaiah actually saw this Interstate, nor do we believe that I35 is spoken of literally in this scripture, but we do believe that we can use this text in a symbolic way as a catalyst to begin praying, just like those who live in Interstate 40 can use Isaiah 40:3,
"The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God",
and those on Interstate 10 could use John 10:10,
"The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
America, let's start praying! America, let's start taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ outside our religious, stain-glassed churches. We are in dire need of a move of His Spirit. Now is the time for us to seek the Lord, repent of our sins, and begin living out our faith.

I-35: Highway of Holiness
Isaiah 35:8 reads, “And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.”
While this scripture gives us the basis for the entire Light The Highway movement, it also specifically gives us direction for our own lighting of the highway, Interstate 35. I-35: Highway of Holiness is about coordinating our efforts as a people across the nation to reclaim for the Kingdom of God what the enemy thinks is his own.

Kickoff Events
The 35 days of I-35: Highway of Holiness will be preceded by simultaneous kickoff events in Laredo, TX and Duluth, MN. To learn more about the details of the Laredo Kickoff or the Duluth Kickoff, click the links.
24/7 Houses of Prayer
At least 12 (and probably more) cities along I-35 will be hosting 24-hour prayer for the duration of the event. We are also connecting with Marketplace Houses of Prayer and HOPs not located on I-35. Want to know more? Click here.
Radical Evangelism
Radical Evangelism will be headed up by Heartland World Ministries. From weekend evangelism trips to youth rallies, many different efforts will be made during the 35 days to increase the Kingdom of God.
Purity Sieges
A Purity Siege can be described as a spiritual demonstration. In much the same way people protest against governmental or business aspects of society, young people stand outside of spiritual strongholds and visually demonstrate their opposition thereof, along with intercessory warfare.
Light The Night
The consummation of the 35 days of prayer will be a 5-night event called Light The Night. With a great line-up of speakers and a foundation of 30 days of intense prayer along the entirety of the highway, we are expecting God to do miraculous displays of power.

A Call To Intercession
September 4th, in our weekly staff prayer meeting, God brought to our attention all the incidents of bloodshed that have taken place all along I-35. Many of you are familiar with some of these tragedies:
- San Antonio: Remember the Alamo
- Austin: University of Texas tower shooting on August 1, 1966 (16 dead)
- Waco: 1993 Branch Davidian conflagration (79+ dead)
- Dallas: 1963 Assassination of John F. Kennedy
- Oklahoma City: 1995 bombing and collapse of the Alfred P. Murrah federal building (168 dead, 853 injured)
- Wichita: 2000 Wichita Horror (4 tortured and killed)
- Wichita: The BTK serial killer (10+ dead)
- Kansas City: 2007 Shopping Mall shooting (3 dead)
- Mason City, Iowa: 1993 5 people murdered by the first woman on death row since 1953
- Minneapolis: August 1, 2007 bridge collapse
Remembering these tragedies brought to our attention the need for repentance and healing to occur along I-35. On August 15, 2006, Cindy Jacobs declared this over the cities of I-35, "This is a time of uprooting of the ancient things in my cities that have stopped My glory and power from manifesting. Uproot corruption, pornography, abortion, homosexuality, terrorism, violence and any other thing that opposes My will." Click here to read the entire Royal road for His glory prophecy.
Pray for God to remove the roots of violence in your city. Repent on behalf of the bloodshed that has occurred and ask for God’s cleansing and forgiveness to cover the land. Let’s prepare the highway for our God!
