Purity Sieges

A Purity Siege can be described as a spiritual demonstration. In much the same way people protest against governmental or business aspects of society, Youth across the nation will “siege” sites of impurity in their city, by doing on-location prayer. They will be protesting the machinations of evil, such as pornography, injustice, abortion, and other strongholds. They will stand outside of spiritual strongholds and visually demonstrate their opposition thereof, while doing warfare in heavenly realm.

We can see God's hand at work regarding I-35: Highway of Holiness. He has been preparing for this for a long time. The leader of the Waco Purity Siege at Baylor, Sean Morris, has been praying about mobilizing young people to do purity sieges and radical evangelism. God was leading him to prepare for exactly the sort of thing that we are doing here. And then, God brought us together. Waco is going to be slammed with God's presence and power.

Sieging Hell – Bringing Heaven to Earth

Dallas, TX

September 4, 2007

The sight is rare. Fifty or so young people have gathered on Oak Lawn Avenue, positioning themselves on the sidewalk outside of JR’s Bar and Grill, one of many nightclubs found in this neighborhood, which is well-known for it’s large population of homosexuals. The group stays in a tight circle, praying and singing worship songs and asking God for holiness. They are there to confront the spirit of perversion and siege unholiness,

This is a Purity Siege. Unlike a political protest that is against something, a purity siege is for something…holiness. It is on-location prayer at sites of “impurity”, and is just one way people are participating in the I-35 Highway of Holiness movement, which is part of Light the Highway: a worldwide movement to bring reformation to cities, regions and entire nations as thousands of believers commit themselves to personal and corporate holiness along their ‘”highways”.

As the Siege continues, the power of God falls, and the young people start evangelizing, talking to, and praying for people including homosexuals, transgender and transvestites. They share with them how God loves them, and through the power of Jesus Christ, they can be set free from their sinful lifestyle. The purpose of the Siege was not to communicate a message of hate or exclusion, but rather, a message of love, forgiveness, acceptance and freedom.

The response is overwhelming as people begin to fall on the ground under the power of the Holy Spirit. Others begin making proclamations, saying they want to “leave their lifestyle and be set free”.

Those present continue to intercede for five hours. As expected, many people are in opposition to the Siege and contact the police; however, upon arrival, they protected those who are praying. God is moving and is not going to let anything stop His plan.

On August 15, 2006, Cindy Jacobs prophesied over I-35: “This is a time of uprooting the ancient things in my cities that have stopped my glory and power from manifesting. Uproot corruption, pornography, abortion, homosexuality, terrorism, violence and any other thing that opposes My will.” Read entire prophecy. As we begin to uproot, we will continue to see God perform miracles just as he did in the life of James.
